BLOG SERIES: The Birth of Jesus—Obedience leads to Blessings

The obedience of the Magi gives me goosebumps. I am in awe when I imagine their steadfast obedience, an obedience that kept them journeying at the mercy of the elements for months and hundreds of miles on the backs of camels. When they arrived at the feet of baby Jesus, they obediently bowed down to worship the king.

The blessing of the Magi touches my heart, too. With humble hearts of reverence, the Magi blessed the Lord with an offering. They brought their absolute best—the finest and most precious metals and oils—and presented them to the baby in a manger.

May our hearts be transformed to be like those of the Magi—obedient, humble, and full of reverence. May we be willing to obedient walk out anything the Lord has called us to. May we be willing to offer Him our absolute best, not because we have to but because He is worthy.
